Job summary

New Salem Surgery Center in Murfreesboro seeks a PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to support perioperative care in a state-of-the-art multispecialty facility.

As a PRN RN, you will perform preoperative assessments, monitor PACU patients, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient care. The role offers flexible scheduling with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients in PACU during recovery.

New Salem Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center in Murfreesboro, is actively seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

Position Overview: As a PRN PreOp/PACU RN at New Salem Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care throughout the perioperative process. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to contribute to our team without the constraints of regular weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) during recovery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide postoperative education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
