Job summary

New Salem Surgery Center in Murfreesboro is seeking a dynamic PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role offers flexibility with no weekends, holidays, or on‑call commitments, and the chance to contribute to perioperative care in a state‑of‑the‑art multispecialty setting.

As a PRN RN, you will conduct preoperative assessments, monitor PACU patients, administer medications, and maintain detailed records while collaborating with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state (Tennessee).
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Strong nursing judgment and ability to prioritize patient workloads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients in the PACU during recovery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide postoperative education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
