Job summary

New Salem Surgery Center in Murfreesboro is actively seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role offers a flexible schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call commitments, enabling you to contribute to a high-quality perioperative program.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, PACU monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state (Tennessee)
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients in the PACU during recovery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide postoperative education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
