Job summary

West Coast Joint and Spine Center is hiring a Preop/PACU RN to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care through the perioperative period. You will monitor patients, ensure safety, and support physicians in the PACU with critical tasks as they recover from anesthesia.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited RN program, hold an active RN license, and have BLS/ACLS; PALS if required. Two years in PACU or CC preferred, with strong communication and clinical judgment throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy; assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed; perform sedation and sterile technique tasks as appropriate.

Preop/PACU Registered Nurse at West Coast Joint and Spine Center

The Preop/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

Hourly Range: $54- $80/ hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
