Job summary

Select Physicians Surgery Center in Tampa, FL is hiring a PACU RN to deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care. The center is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International and emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout recovery.

The PACU RN will monitor patient status, assist physicians, and support discharge planning, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus available. Requirements include Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU experience where possible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication and organization to manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family needs for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile techniques.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
