Job summary

Select Physicians Surgery Center in Tampa, FL is hiring a Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality care as patients recover from anesthesia. You will monitor recovery, ensure patient safety and privacy, and support the surgical team in the PACU.

Requirements include RN licensure in Florida, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and at least two years in PACU or critical care. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a $7,500 sign-on bonus to join our team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from anesthesia.
• Continually evaluate the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Select Physicians Surgery Center
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
