Safety Harbor Surgery Center in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia. You will monitor patient conditions, ensure safety and comfort, and support discharge planning under physician guidance.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS/ACLS and preferably 2 years in PACU or critical care, with strong communication and prioritization skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in the PACU.
• Monitor patient condition, ensure safety and comfort, and assist with discharge planning.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile techniques as needed.

Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Safety Harbor Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
