Job summary

Rose Surgical Center in Denver is seeking a PreOp PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates the values of our company by caring like family.

You will ensure safe and effective nursing care postoperatively until the patient is discharged, drawing on your expertise to support the center’s mission. The role requires RN licensure, 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, and readiness to meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably Preop, PACU, Pain, GI, ER, ICU or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care area with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions per policy.
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe patient assessments using approved scoring systems.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
