HCA Healthcare's ambulatory surgery center is seeking a PreOp PACU Nurse to plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative and postoperative care until discharge. You will support patient safety and comfort, work with a collaborative team, and uphold high standards of perioperative care.
Responsibilities include preparing care areas, ensuring equipment availability, conducting comprehensive assessments, administering preoperative meds, IV therapy, and maintaining IV access while monitoring discharge

Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged. Prepare your patients' care area adequately before case
Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients' procedure
Conduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients' history and diagnostic tests
Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon
Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
Active RN license as required by state of employment
BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
ACLS required within 30-days of hire
PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
