Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our Marietta, GA team. The role provides diagnostic ultrasound in the MFM setting, working with perinatologists and supporting procedures.

You will document findings, assist with amniocentesis and CVS, and ensure accurate reporting and patient care. Applicants should have accredited sonography training, ARDMS credentials (OB/GYN or FE), and a commitment to continuing education and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent, with on-the-job training experience.
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification.
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo (FE) certified or eligible within 12 months of hire.
• Evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• NT experience or certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys including twins/triplets and acquire data for physician interpretation.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Document exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in reporting systems.
• Record patient history and pertinent observations per protocols and regulatory standards.
• Generate preliminary and final reports for physician review.
• Review studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings and support diagnostic accuracy.
• Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with policies and safety standards.
• Select appropriate exam types and indication codes to support reporting and billing.
• Escort patients and provide care with courtesy and professionalism.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and privacy.
