Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced MFM/Perinatal Sonographer in Marietta, GA to deliver high‑quality imaging and patient care. The role supports inpatient and outpatient services in a collaborative care setting, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include level II ultrasounds, procedures, and education for colleagues, while maintaining infection control and documentation standards in a fast-paced maternal‑fetal medicine environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program.
• Required licenses include BLS and ARRT Sonography or Reg Cardiac Sonographer; maintain as appropriate.
• Fetal Echocardiogram, Nuchal Translucency, and CLEAR certifications required within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient diagnostic level II ultrasounds for fetal assessment.
• Assist and perform ultrasounds during guided procedures (eg. amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling).
• Maintain equipment/setup, ensure infection control and patient safety.
• Communicate findings to physicians and genetic counselors; document results clearly.
• Restock and support operations; collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely exams.
