Job summary

Redwood Outdoors in New York is seeking a customer-focused Sales Consultant to be the face of our showroom. You will lead the in-person shopping experience, deliver personalized consultations, and demonstrate premium outdoor wellness products to walk-in customers.

This full-time role offers base pay, commissions, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to engage with local customers while representing a fast-growing e-commerce and retail brand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of face-to-face retail sales experience (luxury, home goods, wellness, sporting goods, or similar preferred)
• Strong consultative sales skills (not transactional selling)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using CRM and sales software tools
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-store expert for walk-in customers
• Deliver personalized consultations and live product demonstrations
• Guide customers through product selection with confidence and expertise
• Conduct scheduled consultations via showroom, phone, and video
• Tailor recommendations based on customer needs and space constraints
• Support customers from discovery through purchase decision
• Re-engage warm and inactive leads
• Support both online and in-store sales initiatives
• Maintain consistent CRM follow-up
• Maintain showroom presentation and merchandising standards
• Assist with inventory and opening/closing procedures
• Occasionally support local events or tradeshows
• Build trust through product knowledge and consultative selling
• Provide post-purchase support to ensure long-term satisfaction
