Job summary

The Oak View Group is seeking a General Manager for the Charleston Gaillard Center to lead the food service operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with regulations. You will oversee every managerial and staff role, drive revenue generation, and coordinate with venue leadership to optimize performance.

This on-site role requires strong experience in high-end catering and performing arts venues, with a focus on budgeting, policy development, and strategic vendor

Qualifications

• BA or BS with business-related major required; MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of management in food-related or concessions.
• Experience in performing arts centers or convention centers with concessions preferred.
• Certified food service sanitation training or equivalent certification.
• Strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced venue environment.
• Knowledge of high-end catering, bar services, and concession dining.
• Proficiency with MS Office, POS, and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure legal, efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the assigned venue.
• Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, and P&L.
• Final decision-maker on equipment purchases and leases.
• Oversee scheduling and labor allocation; manage staffing levels.
• Develop menus and marketing plans with department heads.
• Maintain relationships with show managers, vendors, and the public.
• Inspect operations to ensure quality standards are met and reported.
