Qualifications

• 4+ years of catering or event sales experience required.
• Experience with a comparable venue size and sales volume strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong written communication skills; clear, concise, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed budgeted booking goals and revenue targets across all special event areas.
• Drive sales across corporate, social, nonprofit, and wedding market segments.
• Apply advanced closing, negotiation, and presentation techniques to maximize revenue.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Conduct engaging site tours and tailored client presentations showcasing venue capabilities.
• Represent Castaway through industry associations, networking groups, and community involvement.
• Partner closely with culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Create clear, accurate, and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Monitor events in real time, address challenges quickly, and implement effective solutions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
