Job summary

Lindt & Sprüngli USA in Leesburg, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in achieving sales plans and profitable store operations while delivering superior customer service.

You will help recruit and develop staff, manage inventory and POS processes, ensure loss prevention and quality controls, and supervise in the manager's absence. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required; prior retail management in premium specialty retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of prior Retail Management experience, preferably in a premium specialty environment
• Proven supervisory experience in a retail setting
• Strong selling skills with a focus on customer engagement and outreach
• Basic math and/or accounting skills

Responsibilities

• Model Lindt standards and core competencies through leadership and sales focus.
• Communicate the store's sales mission and metrics to staff.
• Motivate staff, build brand commitment, and meet internal KPIs and external sales opportunities.
• Identify external sales opportunities including B2B contacts and events.
• Proactively manage inventory to balance stock with sales demands and minimize shortages/damages.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and development of store personnel.
• Oversee cash handling, POS procedures, and audit compliance.
• Ensure scheduling adheres to store needs and expense controls.
