Job summary

The Barnett, including Seaworthy, seeks a full-time Restaurant Server to deliver warm, efficient service to guests in a historic hotel setting in New Orleans. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and uphold brand standards while maintaining a busy station with accuracy and a welcoming demeanor.

Experience in a similar restaurant environment is preferred; ServSafe and TiPS certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English with guests and colleagues.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills are required.
• Ability to maintain positive guest relations and teamwork.
• Knowledge of hotel/restaurant services and hours of operation helpful.
• Basic math for payment handling and change calculation.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver accurately.
• Ring orders through Micros POS system and handle payment.
• Maintain clean and orderly server station throughout shift.
• Upsell menu items when appropriate and ensure guest satisfaction.
