Job summary

Eyeglass World in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Optical Specialist, a customer-facing role at the heart of our in-store experience. You will deliver warm, confident service, guide eyewear selections, ensure final readiness, fitting, and pickup are seamless and on-brand.

This position blends customer connection with optical support and finishing excellence to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences. You will support patient flow, perform finishing quality checks, enter orders, and uphold brand

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales or customer service.
• Active dispensing license as required by the state.
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and education.
• Ensure customers leave confident in their eyewear and experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Perform finishing work including adjustments and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished handoffs.
• Maintain clean, organized finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards in interactions.
