Job summary

Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. in New York is seeking a Design Consultant to work closely with customers to craft individualized design solutions that align with their preferences and budgets.

You will sell Ethan Allen products and services, greet clients, arrange in-home consultations, and use digital tools to present compelling concepts. You will educate customers about complimentary design services and stay current on trends, collaborating with the design center team to ensure superior service

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• General understanding of how to utilize social media and grass-roots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver’s license, with possible alternate transportation arrangements.
• Intermediate skill in digital floor planning technology; 3D applications are a plus.
• Experience with AR/VR visualization tools.
• Willing and capable of learning new technologies.
