Job summary

McHenry Golf Club is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Part-Time Seasonal Golf Shop Associate to support the Pro Shop team. You will assist members with merchandise, process sales, and help manage inventory for a premium member experience.

The role emphasizes personalized service, knowledge of golf products, and collaboration with the Pro Shop and club departments. Flexible hours including weekends and events are expected, in a prestigious club environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior golf shop, retail, customer service, hospitality, or luxury retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of golf merchandise and services preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service with a professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic math/computer skills.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and events.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, creating a welcoming Pro Shop experience.
• Provide knowledgeable customer service and product recommendations.
• Assist with merchandise selection and transactions.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked merchandise displays.
• Respond to inquiries and issues per club policies.
• Support tournaments, events, and golf shop activities.
• Open/close procedures and handle phone inquiries as needed.
• Post golf scores and assist with handicaps.
