Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in accounting/finance/business.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance terminology is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection and reconciliation of outstanding premium balances.
• Communicate with agents regarding balances due and payment questions.
• Negotiate payment plans with agents when appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and determine next steps.
• Review balances for policies canceled for nonpayment and coordinate collection of premiums.
• Research and reconcile payments, offsets, and unapplied premiums.
• Respond to phone and email inquiries with high levels of customer service.
• Identify accounts needing additional collection activity or potential write-offs.
