Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
• Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits and upsell to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol.
• Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and involve management if needed.
• Contact a management member if unable to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making.
• Request additional product or restock as required.
• Balance bank/cash drawer counts.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and clean bar equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of the cooler.
• Maintain accurate bar stock and operate bar equipment including dishwasher.
• Communicate with the client and leadership frequently.
