Job summary

Toca Madera Houston TX is seeking a Bartender to deliver elevated beverage service in our Mexican-inspired steakhouse. You will independently manage bar service for assigned shifts, follow established recipes, and maintain cash handling and inventory controls.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of bartending experience, deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and bar techniques, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of bartending in full-service, high-volume settings.
• Ability to execute a structured cocktail program without hands-on training.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and bar techniques.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, consistency, speed, and hospitality.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver polished, professional guest service while maintaining a safe bar environment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation per standards.
• Work efficiently to ensure timely beverage service during high-volume periods.
• Serve as primary communication between bar team and servers/bussers/runners.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work duties per procedures.
• Ensure products are used accurately and according to Beverage Director's specs.
• Maintain back bar setup, proper placement, labeling of spirits.
• Prepare cocktails using precise measurement and techniques.
• Ensure prep items are labeled, dated, stocked.
• Build rapport with guests while upholding standards.
