You will gather details over the phone and by email to ensure accurate classifications and appropriate premium assessments.

The role emphasizes applying state manual rules, auditing outcomes, and delivering excellent customer service to policyholders throughout the audit process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; aptitude to learn other software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and use good judgment.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management.
• Desire to continuously learn. Previous relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine premium bases for multiple insurance lines.
• Obtain business operation descriptions and employee job duties via phone and email.
• Verify proper insurance classification codes and suggest changes as needed.
• Adjust premiums per state manual rules and credits.
• Complete audit worksheets and process findings in the database.
• Provide superior customer service throughout the audit process.
• Resolve disputes regarding audit results.
