Job summary

biBERK, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks enthusiastic premium auditors to join and grow with our team in an entry level or experienced role. The premium auditor will conduct Worker’s Compensation audits and may audit other lines such as General Liability and Professional Liability.

Responsibilities include reviewing payroll and tax records, obtaining business operation details, and determining correct classifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn other software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Problem solving and good judgment.
• Strong reading comprehension to interpret manuals.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine premium bases for multiple lines.
• Obtain descriptions of business operations and employee duties via phone/email.
• Ensure proper insurance classification codes; suggest changes when needed.
• Adjust premiums based on state manual rules and credits.
• Complete audit worksheets and input findings into the database.
• Provide superior customer service to policyholders during audits.
• Address customer disputes regarding audit results.
