You will conduct Worker's Compensation audits and may handle General Liability and Professional Liability audits, gathering payroll data, describing operations, and ensuring accurate premium calculations.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to interpret manual rules while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn other software applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with a high accuracy rate.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and use good judgment.
• Strong reading comprehension to interpret and apply manual rules.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
• Desire to continuously learn.
• Previous related work experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine premium base for Worker's Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability.
• Obtain descriptions of business operations, employee duties, and other information via phone and email.
• Determine proper insurance classification codes per state manuals and suggest changes when appropriate.
• Adjust premiums based on state manual rules (officer wage adjustments, premium overtime credits, tip credits, etc.).
• Complete audit worksheets using an Excel template and input findings into the database.
• Provide superior customer service to policyholders throughout the audit process.
• Resolve customer disputes regarding audit results.
