What does a Premium Auditor do?

Our field auditors meet with our client’s policyholders onsite, virtually, or via phone, usually at the end of the policy period, to conduct a review of business operations, financial records such as payroll, sales, and costs, and to verify class codes as required by insurance contracts.

• Schedule appointments with clients to conduct audits and gather information.
• Submit audit reports via web-portal and Davies’s exclusive software.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, and face-to-face discussions.
• Examine payroll and tax records of commercial businesses.
• Evaluate operational practices.
• Adhere to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.

Qualifications:

• Must live in the geographic area advertised.
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Numbers-oriented with knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
• Premium Audit experience is not required; training provided.
