Job summary

Sentry Insurance is hiring an entry-level Premium Audit Support role based in Stevens Point or Madison, WI, operating under our hybrid model with three days in-office. You will support the premium audit process, communicating with insureds and agents, and assisting with final premium calculations across all lines.

You will collaborate with the unit supervisor and audit team to review financial records, respond to inquiries, and ensure timely, accurate earned premium determinations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; an Associate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with PC software and basic accounting familiarity.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and analytical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review audit submissions for all lines and states; refer to underwriters as needed.
  • Answer insureds' and agents' questions; bill final premium after review.
  • Evaluate moderately complex audits for accurate classification and premium.
  • Communicate records and discuss operations; prompt underwriting referrals.
  • Perform policy changes per guidelines and conduct quality audits.

Job description

This position can be located in our Stevens Point, or Madison, WI office(s) and will follow Sentry's current hybrid model of 3 days in-office.

Entry level role focused on supporting the premium audit function. Communicates with internal and external customers and supports a growing book of middle and large businesses across all lines. Works with the unit supervisor and peer audit review team for timely review of financial and business records to determine final earned premium.

What You'll Do
  • Reviews and disseminates mail, email, and fax audit report submissions for all lines of business and all states. Assesses records received and communicates with insureds and agents when additional information is expected. Creates referrals to underwriters on pertinent information after the review process.
  • Assists with responding to insured and agent questions and requests Calculates and bills final policy premium after audit has been reviewed
  • Evaluates moderately complex voluntary audits for regional business to determine accurate classification and policy provisions to calculate final earned premium
  • Communicates with insureds and agents to discuss records and operations. Creates referrals for operation changes to underwriters and audit management that may impact premium
  • Initiates and completes necessary policy changes following established department guidelines
  • Performs quality audits for all peers within premium audit department
