Trean Corporation seeks a Premium Audit Assistant to support the Workers’ Compensation Premium Audit Department by coordinating audit requests, managing insured communications, and reviewing submitted documentation. The candidate will maintain audit records, prepare files for auditors, and document all interactions across audit systems with precision and timeliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of administrative, insurance, auditing, customer service, or office support experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to compose professional business correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Audit Coordination: Distribute audit request packets to insureds and agents; manage timelines; conduct follow-ups; escalate non-responsive accounts; maintain follow-up dates and reminders.
• Email and Communication Management: Monitor audit inboxes; respond professionally; route inquiries; answer phone; place calls to insureds for documentation; document communications; maintain electronic records.
• Records Review and Collection: Review payroll, tax, subcontractor, and operational docs; identify missing/incomplete items; request additional information; track records; prepare files for auditors.
• Audit Documentation and Data Entry: Create progress notes; upload and classify audit documents; verify policy info, locations, class codes, FEIN data; maintain accurate records; assist with status updates.
• Workflow and Productivity Management: Prioritize older/time-sensitive audits; manage workloads; follow up on procedures; collaborate with auditors and management.
