Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking a Premium Analyst I to manage mail audits, review and communicate audit findings, and process adjustments across the organization. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate policy classifications and payroll information.

The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective communication, with a focus on timely processing in a multi-functional unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; combinations may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 1 year as Premium Analyst I with audit processing skills or 3+ years in audit/payroll duties in an insurance setting; or a Bachelor’s degree with progress toward II A/CPCU and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, approve, complete and process mail audits.
• Review phone and physical audits for findings and communicate with internal staff to amend policies.
• Process audit adjustments (waive, mail, phone, physical) and notify involved parties when denied.
• Contact insureds, accountants or agents to gather information for correct classifications.
• Explain policy changes and omissions to payroll, class codes and other data during audits.
