Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a motivated, service-driven, and experienced event-based part-time Action Station Cooks to join our Premium Culinary team. This guest-facing role prepares made-to-order items at live stations (pasta, omelets, tacos, stir fry, bao buns) and engages guests to deliver an exceptional culinary experience.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a high-volume kitchen, hold ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification, and can lift up to 50 lbs while

• 1–2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen or event venue.
• Valid ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification.
• Experience with grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, made-to-order items at live action stations.
• Provide friendly, professional interaction with guests while cooking and serving.
• Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment protocols.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of action stations.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and culinary leadership.
• Support the culinary team with prep work and kitchen tasks as needed.

Job Summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a motivated, service-driven, and experienced event-based part-time Action Station Cooks to join our Premium Culinary t eam. This guest-facing role is responsible for preparing and serving made-to-order dishes at live action stations (e.g., pasta, omelets, tacos, stir fry, bao buns, etc.), engaging with guests, and ensuring an exceptional culinary experience. Ideal candidates thrive in high-energy environments, have great cooking skills, and can deliver hospitality with a smile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook fresh, made-to-order items at live buffet action stations.

• Provide friendly, professional interaction with guests while cooking and serving.

• Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout service.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment protocols.

• Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of action stations.

• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and culinary leadership to ensure smooth service flow.

• Support the culinary team with prep work and kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, banquet-style, catering, or fine-dining (stadium, arena, or event venue experience a plus).

• Valid ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification.

• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting. Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cuisines and live station formats.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to event schedules.

• Excellent customer service, organization, and time management.

• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
