Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC approved college.
• Valid Georgia teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field.
• Experience with students with disabilities and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-appropriate, subject-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans and activities for in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates by phone, email, or video conferencing with district personnel, students, and/or parents.
• Creates an in-person and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Uses internet and web-based technology to provide instruction and collaboration; maintains progress reports and attendance.
• Supervises and manages student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct.
• Participates in conferences with families, students, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
• Performs general instruction duties, orders materials, and attends professional trainings.
• Directs the work of paraprofessional staff as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance.
