Job summary

Boerne Independent School District at Curington Elementary School in Boerne, Texas seeks an Instructional Aide SE PreK. Starting immediately, the role is non-exempt with a minimum salary of $16.75 per hour and a mid-point of $20.10. Workdays total 187, with annualized pay pro-rated based on start date.

The aide will support teachers, assist with IEPs, and help students, including those with disabilities, under supervision. Valid SBEC cert within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED recognized by Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting agency.
• SBEC certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Associates degree or higher from an accredited college/university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to students under direct supervision of a certified teacher.
• Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.
• Help meet physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with IEP implementation including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs.
• Work under general supervision of Principal and immediate direction of a certified teacher.
