Job summary

GLENMORE ELEMENTARY in San Angelo, TX, is hiring an Aide - Instructional Pre-K for the 26-27 school year. This non-exempt, 10-month position supports the teacher with instruction, preparation, and classroom management, under direct supervision. Starting hourly range is $12.00 to $18.00 with midpoint $15.00.

Requires Associate Degree or 48 college hours, and Texas educational aide certificate. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 48 college hours required.
Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction to students and work with individuals or small groups.
Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays; maintain records and orderly learning environment.
Assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers as needed.
Assist in parent involvement activities.
Supervise students throughout the day and communicate student needs to the teacher.
Maintain familiarity with district curriculum and participate in professional development.
Communicate professionally with students, parents and colleagues; protect confidentiality.
