Job summary

Boerne Independent School District invites applications for an Instructional Aide Emerging BILINGUAL at Boerne Middle School South in Boerne, Texas. Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will support reading, writing, and math instruction and help manage classroom activities.

Starting immediately, this non-exempt, at-will role is locally funded with a pay range of $16 to $22.40 per hour. A SBEC-certified educational aide license must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED recognized by TEA or regional accrediting agency.
• Experience working with children in schools, daycare, church, or similar.
• SBEC educational aide certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Fingerprint background check must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under teacher direction, work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with administering and scoring tests and work assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Maintain records and assist with reports.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground activities.
