Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a PreK Floating Aide (Instructional Paraprofessional) at Parks Primary for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. Under supervision of a certified staff member, you will assist with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and relieve teachers of non-professional duties.

Qualifications

• Passing score on Para Pro Assessment or college transcript showing 9 hours of English (3 in writing) and 6 hours of Math.
• No Child Left Behind Act coursework fulfilled.
• Prior experience with special needs students desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement programs.
• Assist staff in administration and correction of exercises, tests and assessments.
• Assist in preparing and using instructional materials per student needs.
• Assist with record-keeping to document student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe, on-task environment.
• Supervise students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus duty, playground, study hall) and accompany on field trips.
• Construct, copy, distribute, and use educational materials as needed.
• Assist with parental contact to foster involvement in student education.
• Assist students with activities of daily living to maximize participation.
• Follow safety rules and procedures; may assist in training paraprofessionals.
