Job summary

Cocke County School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional Pre K to support certified staff in delivering classroom instruction and helping students meet learning goals. Under supervision, you will assist with reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer activities, and provide non-instructional support as needed.

You will also help prepare instructional materials, supervise field trips, assist with behavior management, and participate in IEP processes when required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; CDA or related degree preferred.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Ability to carry out instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Assist with lesson preparation and reinforcing instructional materials.
• Assist with record-keeping and behavior management.
