Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a part-time PreK Counts Assistant Teacher Float to support our Smith Playground Center. The schedule is Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–5:00 PM, with responsibilities across classrooms to cover ratios and ensure consistent care.

This role involves assisting lead teachers, maintaining safety, building relationships with children and families, and keeping the center clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA Certification required.
• 2+ years of experience with children preferred.
• Strong teamwork and flexibility.
• Ability to keep information private.
• Must obtain all required clearances and TB health assessment prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Step into different classrooms as needed to provide coverage and maintain ratios.
• Support daily routines and classroom activities.
• Provide active supervision at all times to keep children safe.
• Build and maintain relationships with children, families, coworkers, and administrators.
• Follow and adhere to responsibilities outlined by the lead teacher and maintain a safe, organized environment.

About The Position

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking dedicated team members to support our Smith Playground Center as a part-time PreK Counts Assistant Teacher Float. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

PreK Counts Assistant Teacher Float

This role provides support throughout our center working with preschool aged children while helping to ensure consistent care and coverage throughout the center.

• Step into different classrooms as needed to help with coverage and maintain ratio
• Support daily routines and classroom activities
• Provide active supervision at all times to keep children safe
• Build and maintain relationships with children, families, co-workers and administrators
• Follow and adhere to the responsibilities outlined by the lead teacher for the classroom.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized environments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• CDA Certification required
• 2+ years of experience working with children, infants and toddlers preferred
• Strong teamwork and flexibility
• Ability to keep information private
• Basic knowledge of childcare rules
• Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment
