Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a Pre-Hospital EMS Coordinator in Sewickley, PA to serve as the primary liaison between prehospital care providers, fire, police and hazmat teams. The role focuses on building relationships and coordinating EMS activities at the local level.

You will develop, provide, and implement quality assurance and educational programs, and lead communication strategies while participating in emergency management planning as the system’s representative.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT/Paramedic certification (EMT-P) with a minimum of five years of full time experience as such or be certified as a prehospital RN with extensive field experience.
• Must have the ability to perform group speaking and instructional skills.
• Preferred: Teaching experience; Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, AED and PHTLS/BTLS.

Responsibilities

Department: AHN Sewickley Emergency Department
Work Hours: Typically 8-4:30, requires off shift training at times

The Pre-Hospital EMS Coordinator is the primary liaison between all prehospital care and training agencies as well as fire, police and hazardous materials response teams. This includes developing, providing and implementing quality assurance, educational programs and general communication strategies. In addition, the Coordinator will participate in emergency management planning and in local, state, and regional emergency medical service programs as the system’s representative.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must have a current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic. (EMT/P) with a minimum of five years of full time experience as such or be certified as a prehospital RN with extensive field experience. Must have the ability to perform group speaking and instructional skills.

Preferred:

Teaching experience; Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, AED and PHTLS/BTLS.
