Job summary
Georgia-Pacific's Gypsum plant in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician.
You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, read schematics, and implement preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
We offer competitive hourly pay starting at 39/hour, with overtime weekends and the option of relocation benefits for eligible candidates.
Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing/industrial environment with maintenance.
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- 6 months experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair up to 480V.
- Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
- Precise alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, pumps.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics and manuals for equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and reliability improvements.
- Install and repair mechanical drives, belts, sprockets, and gearboxes.
- Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with operations to prioritize needs.
- Work shifts as assigned, including overtime and weekends.
