Job summary

Miller Valentine Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support the Project Execution team with due diligence, design, scheduling, and estimating for multiple projects. You will assist with business development by helping prepare conceptual designs, budgets, and schedules, while guiding the sales strategy for qualified leads with senior supervision.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of internal or external experience in a similar role or education equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Specialized expertise in multiple systems, processes, and market sectors.
• Demonstrates proficiency in complex systems and processes; oversees work and mentors others.
• May have supervisory responsibilities and manage cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences through reports and presentations.
• Numerical proficiency in discounts, percentages, and algebraic concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources to maintain an increased opportunity pipeline and to efficiently advance preconstruction projects.
• Travel to and participate in meetings with customer and/or design team.
• Assist the project team in creating the business strategy and cost estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and technical portions of sales proposals.
• Manage and prepare technical specifications for sales proposals.
• Maintain updates of opportunities/leads data in CRM with new information each month.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to provide value-added services to customers.
