Qualifications

• 3–4 years of sitework estimating or related field experience.
• Experience with municipal utility projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction terminology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Planswift/OST take-off, and internal estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Read and review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and other design criteria.
• Perform quantity take-offs of all sitework components and determine materials.
• Calculate labor and equipment costs for self-performed work.
• Identify risks such as utility conflicts, dewatering needs, and excavation protection.
• Solicit subcontractor/supplier participation by phone or email.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings as needed.
• Write RFIs, clarifications, and assumptions.
