Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead risk management and oversight of preconstruction teams across multiple projects. You will ensure quality and timeliness of estimating deliverables, coordinate procurement, subcontracts, and change control, and support design phases as needed.

The role emphasizes team leadership, collaboration with senior management, and accountability for project work plans and schedules, including design-build and alternative delivery

Qualifications

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient with P6 and Critical Path Scheduling.
• Proficient in Enterprise Project Management Systems.
• Proficient in commonly used industry estimating software programs.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Successful history executing projects as the prime point of contact with minimal oversight.
• Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced estimating tasks to manage workflow and develop project scope elements.
• Oversees procurement plan, subcontracts, and purchase orders; maintains contract management and change control processes.
• Manages budgeting, cost controls, and risk planning; reviews project risks with senior management.
• Ensures compliance with contracts, quality plans, communication plans, safety plan, and environmental plan.
• Ensures timely and branded deliverables on planning and project documents.
• Develops staffing plans and project team allocations for assigned projects.
• Guides design phase using Critical Path Method scheduling on design-build and ADE projects.
