Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager (Self-Perform) to lead concrete and sitework cost estimation and manage preconstruction activities from pursuit through award. You will quantify scope, assemble quantities, and develop baseline schedules and cash flows to inform bids and project planning.

The role requires concrete estimating experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with industry estimating tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field from an accredited college or university; 3–10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Concrete estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in estimating software tools (P6, BuildingConnected, BlueBeam, Agtek, Sage Timberline, Assemble).
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conflict resolution skills; ability to multitask.
• Superior organizational skills; innovative attitude; strong technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Determines concrete and sitework costs; leads bidding process and preconstruction activities.
• Identifies and quantifies construction elements for accurate scope development and estimating.
• Prepares comprehensive project estimates with structured quantities and pricing.
• Develops preliminary project schedule, cash flow projections, and man-hour requirements.
• Establishes vendor/subcontractor baselines; integrates best-value selections into estimates.
• Leads estimate reviews with project management, design teams, and owners; supports transitions to operations.
