Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Estimator to join a top Wisconsin General Contractor. The role focuses on takeoffs, estimates, quantity takeoffs, and preparing bids with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

You will work to secure work with current and new clients while growing with the firm. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years in construction estimating, experience with estimating software, and a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as an estimator in construction.
• Experience with takeoffs, estimates, quantity takeoffs, preparing bids, and conceptual estimating.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.Professional certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs and quantity takeoffs for bids and estimates.
• Prepare bids and conceptual estimates.
• Apply advanced knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to produce accurate estimates.
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Job Details

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the Construction industry.
2. Proven experience with takeoffs, estimates, quantity take off, preparing bids, and conceptual estimating.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
5. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work under tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Professional certification in estimating or a related field is a plus.
