Responsibilities

• Preparing conceptual budget estimates for projects from schematic design through construction document phases.
• Evaluating and compiling all budgets and bids including conceptual estimating, hard-bids, and negotiated bids.
• Source and build relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Communicate and present proposals to customers, architects, engineers, etc.
• Provide take-off reviews and estimates from construction drawings
• Solicit and review bids from the subcontractor market
• Assist with subcontractor selection, buyout meetings and subcontracts when needed.
• Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information
• Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
• Work closely with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
• Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers
• Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets
