Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates from conceptual budgeting through final pricing and GMP.
• Prepare detailed estimates, cost plans and preconstruction budgets.
• Manage subcontractor pricing, bid packages, scope reviews and bid leveling.
• Collaborate with operations, project leadership, design teams and clients throughout preconstruction.
• Provide value engineering, constructability and cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the Dallas subcontractor market.
• Support pursuit strategy and project selection; contribute to long-term data center capability.

Dallas, TX | Up to $180,000 Base | 100% Employee Owned | Progression to Director

A leading General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Preconstruction Manager or Senior Estimator in Dallas to support the continued growth of its data center business.

This is a particularly strong opportunity for someone with established data center preconstruction experience who is looking for a defined route into senior leadership.

The business is 100% employee owned and has a clear progression plan for this individual to develop into a Director level position, with increasing responsibility for the leadership and growth of its data center preconstruction operations.

The Role

You will take a senior position within the preconstruction team, with a primary focus on data center projects across Texas while also supporting opportunities across the company's wider construction portfolio.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading estimates from conceptual budgeting through final pricing and GMP
• Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans and preconstruction budgets
• Managing subcontractor pricing, bid packages, scope reviews and bid leveling
• Working closely with operations, project leadership, design teams and clients throughout preconstruction
• Providing value engineering, constructability and cost analysis
• Developing and maintaining relationships across the Dallas subcontractor market
• Supporting pursuit strategy and project selection
• Helping develop the company's long term data center preconstruction capability
• Taking on increasing leadership responsibility as the data center portfolio continues to grow

What They Are Looking For:

The key requirement is proven data center estimating or preconstruction experience within a General Contractor environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience as a Senior Estimator, Preconstruction Manager or similar
• A strong General Contractor background
• Direct experience estimating data center or mission critical projects
• Experience leading large and technically complex projects through preconstruction
• Strong knowledge of MEP intensive construction
• Experience managing subcontractor scopes, pricing and procurement strategy
• The ability to lead estimates and communicate effectively with senior project stakeholders
• The ambition to progress into a broader leadership position
