Job summary

MN International Enterprises LLC in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Estimator with a focus on mechanical and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of estimating experience, a strong background in projects ranging from $200k to $100M, and solid MEP knowledge.

Responsibilities include leading estimates, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and designers, and applying plan takeoff software like Plan Swift or Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years of estimating experience with a concentration in mechanical construction projects.
• Must have experience working on construction of schools, universities, libraries, or assisted living and public sector works projects ranging 50M+.
• Must have some procurement experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field.
• Excellent understanding of reading blueprints and specifications.
• A working knowledge of the commercial construction industry.
• Experience with an online bid solicitation tool.
• Organized, with great attention to detail and thorough note taking.
• Well versed in excel and MS Office programs, especially Excel for tracking construction costing.
• Experience with Takeoff and Sage estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prepare estimates for commercial construction projects across a range of sizes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects and designers to develop accurate takeoffs and bids.
• Apply takeoff software and procurement processes to ensure competitive bids.
• Support phased, occupied projects, renovations, and tenant fit-outs as needed.
