Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to help deliver mission-critical and data center projects. This remote role focuses on turning drawings and specs into accurate estimates, developing budgets, and supporting bids from concept through handoff.

You'll review HVAC, piping and plumbing scopes, perform takeoffs, solicit vendor pricing, and contribute value engineering for competitive proposals across commercial, industrial and data center

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in mechanical estimating.
• Background as a mechanical contractor is required.
• Experience estimating commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for HVAC, piping and plumbing scopes.
• Review drawings, specs and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and scope clarifications.
• Develop conceptual budgets and hard-bid estimates.
• Support project handoff and maintain estimating databases.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator who knows how to turn drawings, specifications and project scope into accurate, competitive estimates?

This is an opportunity to bring your estimating expertise to mission-critical and data center construction projects while working remotely. You’ll play a key role in developing project budgets and bids, evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing, identifying value opportunities and helping projects move successfully from estimating into execution.

What You Will Do

• Experience with estimating software such as Trimble, QuoteSoft, FastPIPE or similar preferred
