Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Proven track record leading preconstruction on commercial and/or industrial projects, $20M–$150M+.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, GMP development and negotiated work (CM at-risk, design-build).
• Experience leading or mentoring estimators.
• Confident client-facing presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Procore).
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead preconstruction from early concept through GMP, including conceptual budgets, detailed estimates and value engineering.
• Manage and mentor a team of estimators, setting standards for accuracy and consistency.
• Partner with owners, architects and engineers on design reviews, constructability and cost-saving options.
• Develop bid strategies, scopes of work and subcontractor buyout plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers across Houston.
• Work with business development and operations to win work and hand projects over cleanly to the field team.
• Present budgets, proposals and interviews to clients with confidence.
