Job summary

Meta is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our design, engineering, and construction organization in Menlo Park, CA. You will manage projects from site diligence to design kickoff through break ground and GMP execution, coordinating with leadership and delivery teams.

The role requires expertise in procurement, budgets, scheduling, constructability, and negotiation for large-scale mission-critical projects, with responsible collaboration across internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in commercial/construction management or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to align scope, schedule, and budget.
• Familiar with large capital programs, ground-up and retrofit construction.
• Proficient in site selection/diligence, budgeting, scheduling, change management, risk, and negotiation.
• Understanding of schedules, costs, supply chain analysis, risk analysis, labor markets and cash flows.
• Experience with general or trade contractors in field and office.

Responsibilities

• Execute large-scale commercial agreements with external partners from diligence to construction start.
• Lead program alignment across multiple projects in preconstruction phase.
• Report project status, risk, budget, and schedule to leadership.
• Perform bid leveling and recommend successful bidders.
• Interface with Engineering to develop scope, budgets and schedules.
• Support build strategy with supply chain analysis and vendor selection.
• Develop new processes and tooling to support initiatives.
• Provide constructability input and contribute to change management feedback.
• Maintain database of prequalified external partners.
• Coordinate daily with cross-functional partners on priorities and deliverables.
